I haven't answered comments for my last fic. Mostly because I've had almost no time to get on line. I read somewhere recently I was morally obliged to reply to every comment but mostly the only thing you can say is thank you and I feel a little silly... Excuses. I really do have no time. But I do read and appreciate, so assume the thank you.

I don't think you should be morally obliged to answer every comment in depth at all... If someone is asking a question as part of their comment, i.e. "I am curious as to why you made x do y" then fair enough, it needs an answer. But if it is just a compliment, then there is nothing you can say but thank you. And if you get multiple comments all saying the same thing, then to me it seems really pointless just replying seventy five times with the same two words...

That might just be me being lazy, though.

you shouldn't feel morally obligated to answer anything, I am one who will admit to being compulsive and tries to answer every review, but there are lots of authors out there that don't, so if you have time and want to answer comments then do so, but sometimes a blanket 'thank you' at the being of the next chapter works just as well, some authors even do a Thank you and list the readers who reveiwed the previous chapter, it's whatever works best for you. and Congrats on the nom's!!
