My Christmas fic is finished!
My Christmas shopping, not so much. My Christmas wrapping, barely started. My Christmas baking, an idle dream. I plead Atheism. In fact, somebody give me a religion that celebrates mid-January and sign me up! I'll be ready.
But, my Christmas ficlet is finished. All 21,000 words. No more WIPs for me. Never let it be said I don't have priorities.
Between one thing and another I've hardly been in my house at all the last week or so, which makes me wonder how it got so bloody messy. Away again yesterday, more bleeding trains. At least staying somewhere with a computer. Old, cantankerous computer, but computer nonetheless. And many other people to do the baking. Still, I think I’ll be glad to be at home when Christmas is over.

wow, you're good....i still have tons of last minutes preparations to do...but does all this progress mean i'll be seeing more "dreidel" soon??? please please please??? lol...
okay, enough begging...just saw you'd posted and hadn't seen anything from you for a while, so i thought i'd bug you :P

Sorry, I think I need a holiday after Christmas. A few weeks of not doing anything at all. I've been really rushing to finish this stupid Christmas fic, it's been like two months but I write so slowly, and I'm just... knackered. Starting to hate my computer. Not feeling all that fond of my biros. And it's such shitty weather. Don't you ever get, in winter, when it's freezing fog all day, that you just can't be bothered?
I know, it's all excuses. But I haven't ever really put it aside, and it will get back to regular updates as soon as the sun comes out in England!
Hope you have a good Christmas too. I'm enjoying mine so far, it's 3.20 am and I'm sitting typing with a glass of Baileys.

i completely understand, i think if i'm not careful i'm going to burn myself out on spuffy...lol..i'm in the middle of two fics at the moment, my current wip and a new kinky sort of series i've just started, plus i'm getting requests to continue an old spara fic i dropped a long time ago....so i'm writing like a fiend at the moment, when i should be doing other things...but anyways, i completely understand... lol...whenever you get back to it, i'll be waiting :)

I think if you're still going strong after a few hundred chapters you're unlikely to burn out now!

well, i think it's kinkier, because there's less actual plot involved...lol...at least in blood bound and lying eyes and my other fics that involve spike-bondage, there's actual plot...the plot of this new series is basically "buffy makes spike her pet" lol :P so, yeah...i think it's more kinky...
the first entry in the series is up on my lj, "Slayer's Pet" in two parts...and the next part will most likely go up tomorrow :) check it out if you like :) it's gonna be a series of oneshots, not like, 100 chappies or anything :) knowing me though i'll probably end up with 100 one-shots :P lol
