That was white hot, and they were both so desperate it left me waiting for the other shoe to drop. I guess that shoe would be the bite. There were several wonderful turns of phrase, but here was one of my favorite lines:

"Spike could hardly bear for it to be over yet, his body still aching with desire, his mind unwilling to accept they were already starting that miserable slide to the morning after." It was heartbreaking to have Spike dwelling on the painful aftermath already...

Setting this outside on the porch and in Buffy's bed was a positive change from canon. I'm looking forward to the morning after, and the discussion about Spike's chip.
